The economics of injury, quantified for court.
Fero provides forensic economic-damages analysis and expert testimony in personal-injury and wrongful-death litigation — lost earnings, earning capacity, life-care present value and household services — measured with academic rigor and delivered to a Daubert standard.
Most firms treat damages as a sideline. We don't do anything else.
Fero exists to answer one question with rigor and independence: what has this injury, or this death, actually cost — in dollars, over a lifetime? Firm-built models, defended on the stand by credentialed forensic economists, are why counsel retain us when the number has to hold.
Economic damages we measure
Lost earnings & earning capacity
Past and future wage loss — worklife expectancy, earnings growth, fringe benefits and the diminution in capacity the vocational and medical evidence supports, reduced to present value.
Wrongful-death economic loss
The financial support, services and accompaniment lost to survivors — net of the decedent's personal consumption — valued over the appropriate joint life expectancies.
Household & replacement services
The economic value of household services an injured or deceased person can no longer provide, costed against market replacement rates.
Life-care & future-medical PV
Present-value analysis of a life-care plan or future-medical schedule — growth and discount rates applied on a defensible, published-data basis.
Business & commercial loss
Lost profits, diminished business value and earnings loss for owner-operators and closely held businesses — drawing on Dr. Manfre's corporate-valuation practice.
Rebuttal & critique
Independent review of an opposing economist's report — the errors, overstatements and unsupported assumptions that don't survive Daubert.
Academic rigor. Courtroom clarity.
Credentialed testimony
Engagements are led and signed by a PhD economist and university professor — the witness a Daubert challenge is meant to find, and can't fault.
A real modelling bench
Behind the testimony sits Fero's actuarial practice — a team that has built and defended thousands of lifetime loss models. Done properly, explained simply.
Independent by design
We quantify the loss the evidence supports. A report that overreaches is a report that gets excluded — so ours don't.
Built to the standard
Every report is written to Federal Rules of Evidence 702 and 703 and the Daubert framework — transparent methods, published data, reproducible numbers.
